Hockey Camps

I am new to this site, does anyone know of hockey camps for kids with type 1 diabetes.

I am a mom of type one diabetic, not a physician. There is a great website

You can find camps for kids with diabetes (type 1 &2), by state. We found a great sleep away camp in Massachusetts that our daughter has been going to for the last 3 years.
Before that she went to a local day camp. We found that the camps we looked at and used were accommodating to our needs, by law they have to. (The Americans with disabilities act).
You should find that sports camps usually have a nurse or doctor on staff, so it should not be a problem to have a diabetic attend. Remember that with the American with disabilities act, they have to by law make reasonable accommodations; they can not discriminate due to diabetes.
Also check out with you child’s coach, they might know of some camps that you can call.
Remember to treat you child as a child first and a diabetic second. Good luck with your search, and I hope you child has fun.
