I have a family history of type 1 diabetes,will I get it?

I am 18 years old and I am an athlete. Type 1 runs in my family, does that mean I will possible get it too?

No not necessarily it runs in my family and my mom don't have nor her mom or my moms sisters and neither does my sis but my moms aunt has it and that is how it goes now I have it and really it is not so bad.
