I think my child may be hypoglycemic?

I think my child may be hypoglycemic?

I have a 9 year old son that has a history of fainting spells.  They started when he was 5, when he passed out cold while in a store.  He gets very clammy, but says he is hot and cold at the same time, and he says that he can tell when it's going to happen now because his his stomach gets queasy, and he feels shaky. We have told him that when he feels this way, to sit or lay down immediately, no matter if it is on the floor.  We have tried to tell him that it is better to sit down than to fall down, especially if he can feel it coming on.
I am a fainter myself, having had this same problem all my life (I've passed out cold around 6 times)...I never considered myself as anything other than just a fainter since my grandmother had the same issues, but now that it is happening to my son, I am so worried.  We took him to Children's Hospital a year ago, and they ran tests for blood, brain, heart, epileptic attacks, all came back normal...but he still faints.  We watched everything, including his diet, and the last episode happened yesterday. He had eaten a full breakfast about 1 1/2 hours before, and was getting a haircut when he said he was going to fall out of the chair, and he felt sick.  He had eaten no sugar at all yesterday prior to this happening...could this be hypoglycemia?  We are going to the clinic tomorrow...HELP!!

hi...first let me say im sorry what your going threw & i have walked in your shoes .i myself done this , my daughter 19 now hers & started at 8 months & now my grand-daughter does it age1 year.they treated my daughter for seizures for years although seizures didnt show up in test.after she was a teen i took her to my dr.in ozark al. where he put her on a tilt table test & sure enough she passed out & was told it is the same thing i have (Dysautonomia) as for my grand-baby they have sent us to dr after dr.& just like my daughter they cant find anything & they dont do tilt table test on little kids so they are trying to say she is holding her breath till she passes out & i know thats not the case.if you would please tell me the symtoms (symptoms) i might  be able to help more but i can tell you theirs  happen when they get hurt or something unexpected happens or fear.my daughter  feels the same as you describe your son.my grand-baby had a spell last night & it was so bad we thought she was dead & i am so worried cause we cant find a doctor who will help a baby in the dysautonomia symtoms (symptoms)
