Don't worry so much!!!  I know it is hard but try to relax, the less stress the better!  I have had type
I diabetes for 26 years.  I have two children ages 3 and 1.  I got pregnant easily with both. Make sure you are trying during your ovulation-I know that sounds silly to tell you-maybe go to a website that helps you to figure out which days are your most fertile. I forget the one I went to but, there are many. My pregancies were harder to manage than say a non-diabetic, but I did it.  I kept very tight control and had two healthy normal weight children-one was 6.13 ounces the other 7.03 ounces.  I also saved the cord blood-maybe you will want to check into that as well!!!
Good Luck!!  Have fun trying--be romantic and try to enjoy!

Thanks for the advice I do have a team of drs that specialize in T1 and pregnancies but now 8 months later after getting my body ready and getting my pump I'm just a little nervous.  I do feel like I'm in really good hands.  So tanks again for the encourgement....

I, too, am a long-time type 1 diabetic woman. When I was in my twenties back in the dark ages, I had two children. Both are healthy young adults themselves now. The pregnancies went well even back then. It will be even better for you in this modern day with all the new knowledge. Good control throughout is the key to good health for you and for your future children. I do so wish you good luck. Like you, I was frightened, but this was not necessary. All went very well. I am so glad that I took this step. I wish you the best.

Awesome!!  I am a T1 and was on a pump up until 2 months ago.  I went on my pump during the beginning of my 2nd pregnancy.   I have had 4 children.  All born early but with great birthweights.  We went through alot to get them here with bedrest and hospitalizations.  Good Luck and remember the fun part is the trying part!!!

I to am T1, I am 34 my first pregnancy was scary I was taking 6 shots a day and my sugar was still not under control. My second pregnancy I was on the pump before I tried to get pregnant and my A1C was great when I got pregnant with twins. And it is tough but there is alot of diabetics having babies with no complications at all. But my boys are now 8 years old and weighed 6.8 and 7.5 and were a month early and very healthy. But I mostly Thank God because if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have had a chance. But keep your head up things aren't that tough especially when you see that little life you created! They are miracles.
