Infected Infusion sites

Infected Infusion sites

I have over the past few years been having issues with my infusion sites.  First I was finding a lot of skin irritation and redness so I stopped using alcohol (per MD).  When the problem persisted I changed my infusion site to the short-t.  I thought I was in the clear till I recently started getting really bad infections.  I currenlty put my infusion sites in my stomach and my sensor site in my hip region.  Other than my thigh (which I find really uncomfortable) I don't have anywhere else to put them.  Does anyone have suggestions or no of a topical solution or wipe that works well for sensitive skin???

Hi there!

Povidine iodine or betadine usually works well for sensitive skin as compared to alcohols or spirits. Also you might consider getting an allergic test done to see if it could be the reason.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
