i too am a type 1 diabetic and i smoke. i don't notice that it has any impact on my levels whatsoever. i spoke with someone in california who uses mediacal marijuana, he had type 2, he swore it helped with preventing glaucoma, and with blood flow in general.
my only gripe with THC is that i believe it slows down the metabolism. i have been smoking for 15 or so years and i cannot loose a pound to save my life! also, if you smoke everyday, it can kill your motivation.
if you don't smoke cigarettes, DON'T START!!!
just stay active--find a way to excersize, even if it means bringing glucose gel with you everywhere.
but overall, i'm all for it, i think its harmless and certainly safer than drinking
