Numbness in my pinky fingers and pinky toes....Is this diabetes releted?

I have always off and on gotten numbness in my pinky finger tips but recently I have been getting it in my pinky toes as well.  I have no idea what this could be,  Can u help me?

Hello, Heather.  I'm not a medical professional, just the parent of a kid with diabetes.  Yes, numbness is a symptom tied to the diabetic condition of long term high blood sugars.  But with you being a new diagnosis, that doesn't seem likely.  There are many possible causes of those symptoms, and I'd hate to speculate.  Please consult your doctor to find out what's going on.  It may be tied to your diabetes, but it's hard to say.

You did not even say that you you ARE a diabetic. So we cannot assume that you are. Numbness is NOT a symptom of diabetes, but is more a symptom of long-time poor control of diabetes for many years, which can eventually cause nerve damage. So the real question to ask yourself is whether you have any other symptoms of diabetes, the more typical symptoms such as constant thirst, lethargy, frequent urination, hunger even though you are eating more than usual, etc.
