I am not a phycian or a diabetic, but the mom of a diabetic who had been on a pump for 4years now. I am not sure why you do not like the tubing, but it has never been a problem for my daughter or any other people that I know on pumps. My daughter wears the pump on her waistband and puts her site goes in her butt, arm or belly. She has never had any problems with the tubing. And she is able to hide the pump in a pocket or her thigh is wearing something tight.
I have seen the omnnipod, which attaches to your body so you will have something bulky attached to you body. It would make it hard to wear certain clothing and to use different spots on your body.
