Passing Out

by MeFakeName, Jan 22, 2006 12:00AM
How do I get medical help without loosing my capability to drive / keep my home. I have almost every symptom for Hypoglycemia. I have been dealing with this for 15 years and it's only getting worse.

On top of that, I am homeless and living out of my car. Yes, I do work full-time, I do have a regular job like most people. The problem is the pay is so horrible.

If I show and tell them the truth, I loose my home and will probable first loose my job and then die due to temps being in the 5-15 range.

I tried for help and was told since I have no children and that I do work, I can't receive and help by the government. Nice to see I served in the military for this country for 10 years only to be told to kiss off.

A sweet person has given me a meter and strips. My readings are either really high or starting to hit low. My last Pass out was 10 to 15 days ago.

Thanks

Dear Homeless,
i understand your concerns as diabetes is a very expensive disease. Have you tried going to the VA? i'm service connected from becoming diabetic while in the Air Force. But i know the VA treats many other vets with diabetes and the only requirement is to be a veteran. Try that, bret
