Probems with quick set infusion site, pain and irratation

I am having great difficulty using the mini med infusion sets.  I have been using the sets for 5 years and have always been sensitive to them. Using Cavalon Spray and Lidocaine prior to insert them.  Recnetly I have experienced pain in the canula and sticky part and of the infusion is constantly irratated.  I am at the point that I am going to go back on regular injections.  The infusion sets have definely changed.  I have 4 years before I can purchase another pump.  At this point it will not be a medtronic.  Until recently I have been more than satisfied with the pump.  If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you

Hello, sorry to hear about your problems. I have the same pump, and do the same things you do. I've been on it since 2004. I had some irration when I first started with this wipe they gave me to use. I switched do a different one and I have been fine ever since. Call there 800 number and tell them about it. I now use this to prep my skin before inserting the infusion set I.V. PREP Antiseptic Wipe, made by smith&nephew.  I get this stuff for free with my  plan.
