SEVERE STOMACH PAIN AND HIGH BLOOD SUGARS.

HELP MY NINE YEAR OLD HAS DEVELOPED SEVERE STOMACH PAINS THAT DO NOT GO AWAY, HE HAS HAD THE PAIN FOR FOUR DAYS NOW HAS SEEN A DOCTOR AND RULED OUT URINE INFECTION HIS BLOOD SUGARS HAVE GONE SKY HIGH THERE IS NO SICKNESS BUG NO HIGH TEMPERATURE HE DIDNT EAT FOR SIXTEEN HOURS AND HIS LEVELS REMAIN HIGH NO KETONES HE HAS HAD NOVORAPID INSULIN BUT NO CHANGE TO HIS HIGH LEVELS CAN ANYBODY SUGGEST WHAT I COULD TRY NEXT. THANK YOU FOR THE ADVISE ON LAST SUBJECT.

Hello.  I'm not a medical professional, just the parent of a kid with diabetes.  Has he had any problems with bowel movements or constipation?  There is something called celiac disease, which it doesn't sound likely that he has, but it's a possibility.  A blood test can check for that.  It could also be just the high scores that are causing the stomach pains.  I'd double the corrections you're giving him until his scores start to come down.  Verify with your doctors as well that you're doing the right thing by increasing corrections.
