Seizure

I have had type 1 Diabetes for the last 26 years.  The other day I had a pretty bad seizure and when it was said and done I checked my blood sugar and it was 266.  I've had a couple seizures in the past, the last one was 8 years ago and I know that seizure occurred because I had extremely low blood sugar..  Another thing, I had blood work done a week ago and apparently my micro albumine level is high.  I know this has something to do with my kidneys.  They said not to worry about it yet, because they want me to get it re-tested in a month and then we will go from there.  I'm wondering if maybe the seizure was caused by this?  Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't know if kidney problems can cause seizures. You are right that seizures usually result from low blood sugar. I would definitely see your doctor or at least call him and let him know this occured and ask if you need to be seen sooner.
