Seizures and vomiting

by cole123, Jun 26, 2008 08:48AM
A 17 year old girl had a seizure in my building.  Following the seizure she was vomitting.  Is this common with a diabetic seizure?

I've had several diabetic seizures due to hypoglycemic unawareness and a couple were followed by vomitting, yes.  Once, I felt like I could not talk after my seizure... I had all these words I was thinking of, trying to tell my roommate that I was okay, but my mouth couldn't form them... it was as if I forgot for a good 15mins how to talk - EXTREMELY scary!  All I could say was "umm..." - anyway, I threw up shortly after that and lo and behold I could talk again!  It was the weirdest thing!  But yes, seizures come in every form you can imagine... some are just blank stares - kind of like a black out.  I've had one of those too.
