Struggling Diabetic.

Hello, I have been a diabetic since the age of 11, and recently I have been having a number of issues.  I currently am without health insurance because my company pulled their part-time health coverage.  I am a college student, and cannot find time for a full-time job.  I have been turned down by both the local and state health care programs and I am running out of places to turn.

I have been unable to take good control of my diabetes as a result.  I haven't been able to keep up a regular schedule with my provider and I can't always afford my insulin.  I've been very, very sick and I can't always test my glucose as I don't always have testing supplies.

I need help, and I don't know where else to turn.  Type II diabetics get all sorts of assistance, where is all the assistance for us?

Hi. I thought I responded to your post but don't see my response. You might want to check into another website called *********.com which has a lot more traffic than this one. A frequent topic on that website is how to pay for diabetes supplies and if you post on there you will get lots of useful responses. Best of luck to you. I am terrified by the thought of another Type 1 who can't afford their insulin. I hope you find some good suggestions.
