Teen Diabetes Chats Online -- JDRF volunteer launches website

We have had a few questions about the creation of a safe Teens with Diabetes Chat area, and I'm delighted to share a new resource from the JDRF volunteer community.

This site was just launched:

It has LOTS of interesting information and a continuation of chats that were formerly hosted at Diabetesstation.com. Two upcoming guest chats you might want to catch are:

February 27th - Psychological Effects with Wendy Satin Rapaport

I hope that all our teen readers will check out this site!  I sure would've loved to have something like this when I was teen.

This is a great idea as it will help diabetics see that they are not alone with their disease and may help some keep on better track taking care of the disease. i am a type1 diabetic who became diabetic at age 21 and have had it for 33 years now and am still learning new things about diabetes. Hello There, My name i Crystal,
I was diagnosed with Diabetes type one at age 15, im now 17, had it for 2 years and still have trouble keepin it regulated sometimes. But i live in this little town and theres only me and two other diabetics who i dont know who go to my school.  so i honestly dont kow any one who has type one like me, considering the fact no one inmy family has it. so i juss tink it would be AWESOME if i could chat with some kids who are my age and have it:)

i just signed up cause i thought this looked awesom. i've been stuck with diabetes for like 8 1/2 years and i love sports so it's a real pain in the butt

hi im haley i was diagnosed with tipe one at 13 and ill be 15 in aug,its been almost two years. i live in a very small town and dont no any one one with tipe one i no other grls my age have it but i dont no anyone ive meet a few ppl when i was in the hospitol one of the times i wont to meet some other ppl with it. its hard cuz i ust to play all kinds of sports but was forsed to quit.so any one out there
