Trembling

My father has been diagnosed 4 months ago at the age of 44 with type 1 diabetes and now he has these constant tremblings.  When his bloodsugar is higher he trembles less, but overall it's always there.  They did an EMG to see if his nerves were working alright and there was nothing wrong there, but when they checked his muscles in his back they heard some noise what wasn't supposed to be there.

Does anyone know what this is, we are desperate...

(Excuse me for some language mistakes, not a native english speaker)
