Type 1 Talk on World Diabetes Day!

JDRF is hosting a live UStream broadcast on World Diabetes Day on November 14th at 3pm EDT as part of their new Type 1 Talk program.   They are covering the following topics: artificial pancreas/FDA approval process, lessening/preventing autoimmunity attack of beta cells, increasing public awareness & improving education about type 1 diabetes, treatments: existing & "in the works,” and health care coverage for type 1 adults.  You can log on and watch the broadcast by going to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jdrf-advocacy.  You can also look for opportunities to watch the event with other people impacted by type 1 in your community.  Check out JDRF’s Type 1 Talk Facebook application at http://bit.ly/Type1TalkApp and be sure to hit the “go to application” button.  You can use this application to search for an event or to host your own!
