This patient support community is for questions related to juvenile diabetes including Celiac disease, depression, diabetic complications, hyperglycemia / diabetic keto-acidosis, hypoglycemia, islet cell transplantation, nutrition, parenting a diabetic child, pregnancy, pump therapy, school issues, and teens with diabetes.

Will I be able to collect my retirement pay immediately

I have been but on insulin last year. Disqualifi from military service pending MEB. Have served 32 Years. 10 Active in the marines and now 22 in the Air Force Reserves. Once i'm release from the reserves will I be able to collect my Mil pay or do I have to wait til sixty. They inform me that the diabetes is not Mil related.

I am not really sure about this one, since the rules are frequently changed. I would suggest discussing this with the military administrative department.
