aches and pains

my son has diabetis type 1 he is 13 he constantly complains of back ache and more recently stomach pains he is not himself i dont know what to do for him. the consultant said thismaybe due to his levels being high sometimes but when they are not  that high he still mentions hsi back and headaches is this related to diabetis.

Hello, Jenny.  I'm not a medical professional, just the parent of a kid with diabetes.  Has your son ever been tested for celiac disease?  Back pain and stomach pains are both symptoms of celiac.  A simple blood test will confirm, I'd suggest you call your doctor to get it lined up.  Good luck.
