diabetes and teen pregnancy

My 18yr old just told me she is 1 month pregnant.  She has not had good control over her diabeties since she entered her teens.  Her HbA1c is 9.1 and thats the best it has been for over a year.  I need information about complications to her and the baby.  Please help.

A week ago i found out that i am about 2months pregnent at least and yes the wores part is that i am too not in control of my diabeties. my A1c is 6.6 and yet i still fear the wores in all terms. i want to have a healthy child but i dont know if i will but just letting your child know that you will be there for her helps alot. i too told my mom and it was the most scary thing that i had to do but when she told me that she will be here for me, just put all things aside and felt so good. oh and to help her a lot is to take steps with her go on that none suger diate with her and help her with the food that she eats n have other do it with her.
