is watermelon ok to eat on diet if so how much

I'm assuming you are asking this question as a Type 1 diabetic? Watermelon is very high in sugar and therefore might spike your blood sugar. As with any food the best way to find out its effect on blood sugar is to test. Eat a small serving of the food, then test two hours later and see if your blood sugars are in target range.

Are you on basal/bolus insulin doses? Some Type 1's believe they can eat whatever they want and bolus for it. I personally think this is dangerous territory because then you begin feeding the insulin and taking higher and higher doses. Have you had education with a dietician?
