I suggest that you contact the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) at www.jdrf.org — click on the link for the Online Diabetes Support Team (ODST) on the left side of the web page. Then, fill in and send to us a request telling us your situation. A volunteer will contact you, and you will be referred to the JDRF staff person who handles all requests of this nature (we get MANY requests like this). He can give you information about resources that you may not be aware of. I do hope you can get some help, for the test strips really are the key to our good health. We have to know what those glucose levels are in order to adjust them. I do so wish you the very best.

Most cost effective test strips that I've found are Relion-sold
at Walmart stores and www.relion.com-about 46 cents per test strip.
Relion meter is inexpensive and works well. You must address the meds issue with
your doctor.
