my son needs help

my son is diabetic since 10 years old and he is now almost 21, he is suferring for years a state of dreppression, he believes that is a looser, he can go to school more than 2 semestres he change carrers he changes jobs, he is going to the psycologist and he believes that he has bipolar syndrom (syndrome). I believe more that he has a major depression because he went through a horrible life. divorce without seeing his father for more than 10 years, changes of caountries, girlfriend  with own issues and over these a denie of his illnes. somebody can tell me if is posible that he is only with depression or can be bipolar. It is any place to go that canhave the best psycological test to know what is happend with him, he believes that life is terrible an dsometimes he talks that doesn't want to fight more for his life.
