problem with lot 8 replacement infusion sets

I am wondering if there is anyone else who is still having irregular blood sugars with the infusions sets that medtronic sent out to replace those from "LOT 8"? I have used 8 out of the box of ten I received from them. I had normal blood sugars with 2 of the sets - with the other 6 I've been experiencing the same irregular numbers I was while I was using the sets from lot 8. I am very strict with my diet. I consume very few carbs, basically no simple carbs, and yet I have to get up several times during the nght to test and bolus to TRY to keep my sugar in the normal range. I have bumped up my basal rate but when the sets don't seem to work nothing helps. I understand how so many people had such bad experiences with the lot 8 I feel like if I even tried to eat normal my sugars would soar. As it is I struggle to keep out of the 160 to 200 range with some of the sets. I have some old infusion sets that I didn't use because they had the long tubing which I don't like and tonight I got them out. I'm going to see if they work any better. It is so hard to know what to do when you loose confidence in the medical equipment that your life depends on. After reading the reports from the FDA and the warning letters that medtronic received in regard to the quality control of their process and knowing that people died as a direct result I'm feeling very upset and frustrated. I would be interested in hearing from those of you that are having good results with the new sets as well as those that are not.
Thank you
