problems with pump

in the past 10 days my daughter has had about 8 infusion sets, that have bent when being inserted, as there is no way of telling untill her blood sugar goes really high,it's become quite a problem. I've been sent a new batch and a new inserter , but there is still a problem. we always use the same site (on her bottom) as she very concious of it any where else, although it is rotated into different parts. has any body else had a similar problem, and overcome it?  as she really does not want to go back to injections.

My dtr is new to the punp (approx. 1 mo.). We too have had problems with bent canulas and the big highs. I isnert them using the same technique every time and it has happened 3 times. It's scary because I'm afraid I won't be home sometime when it happens. She has been Having great reading when it works but how often do we have to risk DKA? I read about a recall in 2009 for the quikset plus sets. I hatw not knowing for sure. Do you feel the inserter has helped? How long have you all been pumping? Glad to know I'm not alone.
