stomach pain and vomiting

my son is 8 years old. this early morning he complains for stomach pain so bad. So i gave him pepto bismol about 5:30am, then ease the pain for a while then he complain again and he vomit. i gave him gatorade and let him feed for chicken noodles soup (ramen noodles) but still he vomit again. He poop too twice since this morning, and still complain for the stomach pain. after four hours from 5:30am i gave him again peptobismol, but he threw up again.
last night he said he was hungry and he ate a bowl of ice cream. the other day he didn't eat lunch and he ate late at night. last thursday he didn't ate dinner he ate ice cream. and he ate dinner late.
is that the cuases of his stomach pain and vomiting??? please i need your answer.
