by jude2008, Oct 30, 2009 03:43PM
For the last two days my feet have been very swollen.  Is this connected to my diabetes?

It is possible especially if your feet have gone through stress before , like broken ankle, hurted the mountain muscle, twisted, smashed the top of your foot. Your feet will take a lot longer to heal and they won't heal as well as a person that's not diabetic. Also if your standing for a long period of time, even walking for a long period of time will cause that. Shoes are a key also. Comfortable, closed in shoes with rubber soles (like tennis shoes) are the best. Open shoes allow your feet to swell more because there's no support.
