My DS was on Humalog when he first started pumping 8 years ago. Worked very well in the beginning. After about a year, his sites started to fail in 2 days for no reason, instead of him getting 3 days. After trouble-shooting all pump/site aspects of what could be causing consistent site failures, we decided to try Novolog, just to see if it made a difference. Our endo said they are soooo similar in structure that it should make no difference. But he agreed to let us try Novolog. Sites immediately lasted 3 days on Novolog with no probs, and sometimes he can get 4 days (if it's a very hectic day on site change day, we will let it slide one more day if his readings are good). Been on Novolog ever since. If your endo will work with you on this, see if you can get a sample bottle to try.
hi i think the only slight difference is thaat humalog is slightly faster to act and be absorbed but they are exactly the same otherwise x
