Hypoglycemia lead to death

I have had a lot of problems with hypoglycemia during my sleep. My boyfriend often finds me having seizures in my sleep and I wake up in an ambulance with no recollection of anything. I recently moved in to my own place after I broke up with my boyfriend but now I am scared if this happens and no one is there to help me, what will happen? Is there a chance that I can die from this?

Set an alarm for 2am and check your blood sugar. Have box juices next to your bed for low blood sugars. You could have night time low blood sugar seizures. My husband does AND he is a heavy sleeper, which makes me the primary person to help him with his lows at night. My husband only has seizures in the middle of the night because of him being such a deep sleeper. Agree with jasper07. Eat a snack before bed to make sure you have something in your system so you don't have any lows. he body is amazing. And thankfully after a seizure your blood sugar will go up a little so you will hopefully be able to get some glucose in you. Please keep posting if you are still worried and have questions.

Yes, Kim it can lead to death. Seizures does not sound like being a diabetic. Meaning passing out completely where I had this happen so long ago. Hypoglycemia is having a LOW sugar. That happens when a diabetic has not eaten enough, skipped a meal, taken too much insulin. Even have done too much activity. Are you a diabetic, what type? To avoid a hypoglycemic episode, take your blood sugar before a snack and eat a snack before bedtime.  I would get checked out by your doctor too letting him/her know what is going on. I have been a t-1 for 49 yrs and know to eat a snack at bedtime after I take my insulin. That way, no episodes of passing out.
