Is this diabetes, or something else?

I'm 15 years old, and just in the last week and a half I've been exhibiting signs of diabetes.
A diabetic friend of mine had commented on the symptoms and said it would be best for me to go to a doctor, the symptoms were:
-Excessive thirst (Depending on what I previously ate, I'd become more thirsty. Yesterday, I had a small piece of a chocolate bar and ended up drinking almost 2 liters of water afterwards.)
-I pee constantly.. ><... Please help..

First & foremost, see a doctor.  You could however, ask your friend to check your blood glucose (make sure she logs your test so it's not confused with HER tests), but be sure to do it when you first wake up (& haven't eaten yet) or when you haven't eaten in 2 hours.  You need to get a 'fasting' blood sugar to really know whether your body is breaking down sugar or not.  Whatever the result, you do need to see a doc about your symptoms.  They're there to help, and if it gets you feeling better, then why not???

if you are leery of docs, first ask your diabetic friend to check your blood glucose,or test your urine w/ glucose testing strips. also journal all symptoms  times and what you eat and when if you go to the md,good luck,it's not the end of the world.
