Tb skin test

I've recently just gotten a job at a nursing home and I need to go have a tuberculosis skin test done. I'm type one. Has anyone had this done and is it safe? Thanks!

Hi.

I had the skin test and a shot testing for TB  when I was in a Rehabilitation Center after being diagnosed as a Diabetic.  I did not have a problem with either test and I was 54 years old when I was first diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic.

I hope this answers your question.

I've had this done a few times! I'm also type 1, I didn't effect anything for me.

Hi, it is generally considered safe. There is a blood test that can be done as an alternative. You Vann ask your Dr about it.
