could i be diabetic???

im 16 and over the past week or so i have been peeing quite a lot... i feel quite tired... i normally feel that im not hungry and then have surges of hunger... and quite often feel dizzy... my stomach is upset and my hands quite often shake. i wouldnt say im extremly thirsty but when i think about it i have been drinking quite a lot recently. could it be diabetes??? can u please give me some advice... thanks...

I agree that you should have your blood sugar checked; then if it is fine you can have the doctor consider other reasons for how you are feeling. If you do have diabetes, it is a manageable condition, so learn all you can about it.

Hello Alexis.  The symptoms that you describe,  I too deal with them from time to time.  Most of the time,  it is hormones or anxiety.  But,  diabetes could also be a factor.  I have Type 2 Diabetes myself.  Go to your doctor and get yourself checked out.  Find out what is going on.  If it is Diabetes,  don't freak out and sob like I did.  People can live perfectly healthy,  long lives with Diabetes.  Keep us posted and good luck!
