diabetes and injection points

my nine year old son has started getting red lumps at every injection site followed by severe itching.has been put on piriton to help with this.yesterday he had a flu jab and the same thing happened whats causing this reaction he was only diagnosed in march this year.

I get the same thing. even last week when I got my flu shot It is itchy and tiny bumps around it. I asked my husband if his did that and he said no. i think its my body and the diabetes. I am the side effect queen.....when I had to take insulin shot yrs ago I would look like I had dermatitis on my thighs. I have to start back taking insulin again. I'm 51 and it been 23 yrs. I am not a physician, but the mom of a type one diabetic.  I can tell you that our daughter gets those bumps when she changes her pump sites.  What we have done is put Neosporin or backtracking on them and they go away with in a day or too.

I would suggest that if that does not work contact your PCP or endocrinologist and ask for some suggestions.
