i can not get my sugars below 400 i am on metformin500 mg twice a day glipizide 10mg 2 a day and20 units of levermir at night

drink lots of water it will matabolize out the sugar in your blood. i did this when i had ges. diebetes when i was pregnant with my daughter it worked very well for me.

I could suggest some protocols, but you need to be under the in-person supervision of a diabetic specialist, preferably once a week for a few weeks. Clearly you are at the point of danger.

I can tell you from experience with several of these specialists that they are very good at what they do, and a diabetic specialty clinic will evaluate you and suggest alternatives.

Make enrollment in such a program your top priority.

You require an evaluation of your level of exercise, your diet, and consultation with an R.N. who specializes in diabetic control, a PA, or an endochronologist. There are many unanswered  questions and it is pointless to get into a request for more information and a continual "blah-blah" conversation.

This is not a problem that be properly handled by input from an internet suggestion board.
