Are you a recently diagnosed diabetic, or have you had this for some time? I think that's important. I was only diagnosed 2 weeks ago. My A1C level was 11, which gave my doc an idea how long my glucose levels have actually been high without my knowledge. I had been tested in March and my glucose was normal, so these together helped pinpoint when I "became" diabetic.
Penn
"AC 1 Level if it is this high go down"
Normal A1c is <6% can be obtained by
1. Proper nutrition - no sugars, no bad carbs
2. Moderate exercise
3. If overweight, lose weight
3. Talk with your doctor
Besides following a diabetic diet and perhaps going on insulin, I have no idea.
Good luck, though.
