Can diabetes effects window period for HIV Testing.

Hello

I have been diagnosed with diabetes 6 months earlier and i was on metmorfin trajenta duo which i took for around 2 months and now my blood sugar are in control (not taking any medicines anymore but i check for my sugar levels regularly)

1. I have only one question can diabetes effects window period for HIV testing which is normally 3 months??
2. Will diabetes control antibodies formation in anyway ??

I am suffering from extreme anxieties and depression :-(

I had several duo tests and all were non reactive so i was concerned with diabetes.

No diabetes will not change your HIV test.  You body has to be really unhealthy with very serious problems like cancer, or some serious autoimmune condition.  Otherwise you can follow the same schedule everyone else follows.

If you are really worried then you can get what is called a "duo" test.  It looks for both the virus and the antibodies.  Then it won't make any difference what you have, it will be able to tell you if you have the virus.
