Here’s some advice from the MedHelp website and our Sugar Sense app on drinking coffee when you have diabetes. Hope this helps you!

http://www.medhelp.org/diabetes/articles/Is-Coffee-OK-to-Drink/2490

You can find this on the app by going to the home screen, and clicking the menu bar in the upper left corner. Tap Health Guide, then scroll to Food Facts. Scroll down for this and other articles related to diabetes and specific foods.

For some people caffeine does raise BG (caffeine is a stimulant).  For others it does not raise BG. only way to tell is to test.  Test before... drink... test after. if BG higher after than for you yes.

HOWEVER do NOT do the test in the morning as you may have DP (Dawn Phenomenon)  and that can sque the results of any testing in the morning.

Google "Dawn Phenomenon and blood glucose"
