Could it be Diabetes?

I wasn't sure about the topic but I have a question.  For the last couple of years I have not liked sugar.  It happened rather fast.  I try not giving it to my kids or having it in the house.  I used to drink a lot of soda, than it made me get jittery so I cut back to one glass a day.  That's worked out for me for the last 6 months.  Well within the last couple of weeks, everytime I had my 1 glass of soda, I've been really jittery again, worse than ever before.  So I switched to caffiene free 2 weeks ago and I noticed I'm still just as jittery after I drink it.  Than I got to thinking that it had to be the sugar in the soda.  I never eat sweets or anything so I only noticed it through soda.  Tomorrow I am not going to drink any soda and see if it still happens.  When I say jittery, I mean internal and external shaking, not hyper.  Is this a sign of diabetes?  I am going to the doctor this week if possible.  Also, today i had a piece of pie and it flared up again.  Diabetes?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Jessica

Thanks for your reply.  I am getting checked this week.  As soon as i do I will repost.  I just cant think of anything else it could be.  It all happened so fast.  I cut my sugar off 90% just like that about 4 years ago because it didn't settle good with me.  All I had was soda and now I cant even drink a caffiene free cup of soda with out shaking.  I do think it is the sugar.  Thanks for your reply.  Jessica

Feeling jittery after consuming a caffeinated drink like soda, coffee, or an energy drink can happen to many people, the sugar contents makes one feel anxious then anxiety sets in. Only testing by your doctor will verify if your glucose [blood sugar] levels are unstable. Right now its too soon to advise you which way to go. Post back to this thread with your test results if you test positive then we can help steer you in the right direction.
