DRINKING WATER BEFORE FASTING GLUCOSE TEST
Is it alright to drink a lot of water while fasting for a blood glucose test in the morning? I ask because if I'm dehydrated, perhaps my blood volume will be low, thereby increasing my blood glucose concentration, and test result.  As well, since diurectics decrease blood volume, don't they increase the concentration of glucose, thereby increasing the parts per volume test result?

It's OK to hydrate with 8-16oz of water prior to blood draw.

No, not possible.

What has diuretics have to do with water? Diuretics are drugs. Last I heard water is not a drug.
