Fasting blood sugar of 110

My husbands fasting blood sugar is always around 110...he hasn't been diagnosed with diabetes (has no other symptoms) and he's also had the other blood test (not sure of the name, but the one where they check the rate of sugar over a three month period?) and that was okay...should this be a concern?  He another blood test this week and then a follow up with doctor

The A1c test measures glucose (%) over the past three months. Watch this number for it tells a lot. For example; if the range is <6% (less than) and his result is 5.4 to 5.9%, your husband is on the borderline to becoming a diabetic.

A fasting glucose of 110 means he's pre-diabetic and should be carefully watching his food intake. In other words, he's a half-step away from being a diabetic.

It is time now to prevent the disease by proper nutrition, moderate exercise, and normal weight. Google American Diabetes Association. Lots of useful info there.
