Insulin Resistant, Obesity and Pre-diabetic

I've been trying to lose weight for a long time. It seems the older I get the heavier. My most recent A1C was 5.4 ( which is higher than I'd like.) I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 11 years old. I've never been good at remembering to take my meds. I was prescribed Metformin 50mg to start. Now as an 11-year-old child I expected to feel better instantly. I was angry when that didn't happen and I saw no immediate results. I stopped taking the medication out of sheer anger. Now I'm 19 years old and I wish I had... I weight over 300 lbs, my sugars are unregulated, I'm borderline diabetic, I have constant yeast infections because of high sugars, I suffer from terrible depression and anxiety and I likely have fertility issues. What suggestions can anyone give me on how to lose weight with some many uphill battles against me? Where do I start?

Hi,
I would recommend you go back on metformin, if you haven't already.  I would also suggest you looking into low carb/ Ketogenic diet.  This diet is very helpful for reducing insulin resistance / helping to control blood sugars.  Wishing you very well.
