Non-diabtetic body builders swear by whey protein, others not. How it affects diabetics is questionable as it depends on what the manufacturer packs in it. Some whey protein products have added carbohydrate sugars by way of starches such as dextrin & maltodextrin, and the list goes on. With that in mind carefully read and understand each ingredient listed on the label. I'm not saying you can or cannot take whey protein, just that if you decide to add whey to your diet test your glucose often.
