Hi there
You said you were told a diabetic in 04 and you wrote:
I am going for a MRI and spec scan to see how my blood flows.Does anybody else have a similiar story
To me, a MRI scan cannot tell your diabetic condition, only your A1C reading can.
You want to read other previous posts regarding where and how to buy the self-test kit for A1C. If you want to see an Doctor for your diabetic condition, only see an endo.
Good luck
thats the 4 scans they want the spec will be after those
they just wanna see if i hsve bad circulation is what i was told
"I am going for a MRI and spec scan to see how my blood flows."
The noninvasive test to check blood flow is reactive hyperemia peripheral arterial tonometry (RH-PAT). The MRI is of the abdomen possibly to look for enlarged organs? A SPECT scan [single-photon emission computerized tomography] lets the doctor know how blood flows to your heart and areas of your brain. There's serious health issues going on for these to be ordered, something you need to discuss with your doctor in-depth. Good luck
If you are really serious about improving your health, please read Diabetes Solutions by Dr. Richard Bernstein. It gives very good guidance on how to manage diabetes and have hope of reversing some of the complications.
