Mentally Phasing Out ?

I am Type 2 but not yet on insulin. Off and on I have periods when I won't remember most of my drive to work or my drive home.  I try to ensure that I eat and have plenty of water, but when I'm stressed and not sleeping or eating right is when I notice it much more. It's happening again and I'm under a great deal of work stress, not eating much and not sleeping well (no energy). I also get more migraines during this period. Is this normal?

Up to 50% with migranes have low magnesium. There are many causes of low magnesium from diabetes to stress to sugar.  There are a lot of reasons for memory loss but that includes stress, not enough sleep, too low or high blood glucose levels and to a lesser extent low magnesium. Also the diabetes drug metformin is known to cause low vitamin B12 levels. Low levels of B12 also cause memory loss, fatigue and many other health problems.
