Morning Fasting number

I was just recently diagnosed with type2.  I can't seem to get my morning number below 110.  But throughout the day my numbers range from 85-105
Anything I can do to get my morning number down

please dont ignore your diabetes.  learn all you can, as you are, by asking questions.

sounds like what you have is Dawn Phenomenon DP  when you get up in the morning your liver is being a good buddy and dumping glucose so your body has energy to get up and moving.  The problem is your liver is ether dumping to much glucose or your pancreas  cant handle what is being dumped .  So your BG goes up.

Things that may help dawn phenomenon include:-
1. eating less and low carb at dinner.
2. a small snack at bedtime (this  should contain protein and fats, and maybe just a little carb).
3. taking a walk after dinner.
4. Taking metformin at bed time (this is medication that reduces insulin resistance - you could ask your doctor about this.

Stop thinking too much. Anything below 126 should be ok. It depends on many factors including body type.

Eat more vegetables, it will come down
