Possable diabetes

Hello. I have been noticing some problems for a while now like blured vision, and tired all the time. My family has a history of diabetes. I did use a friends meter to test my sugar and it came out 87 and from what I understand thats within normal range. What I want to know is with the symptoms being the same and the family history is it still possable to have diabetes or should I look into other causes. Thanks.

I think that with the symptoms you have, you should see a doc.  The 87 is a good number, but did you just use the meter once?  You cannot go by one result like that...the numbers change constantly during the course of the day depending on your food intake.  As Nebraska suggests, A1C is a far more accurate test and I would discuss it with the doc.

87 is very good. If you are really concerned talk to your dr about a H1c hemoglobin.  That will test to see what your blood sugars were over the last 3 months.  Good Luck!

I also noticed wounds healing a LOT slower as well. I used to heal very quick, but I have scrapes on me now that have taken so long to heal they scared.
