Hi, every labs range is different, I looked up mine and it said it should be under 5.75
It also depends on your age.  From I have been told the younger you are the stricter the guidelines.  For my Dad who is 75 the doc told him that as long as he is under 7 that is acceptable  My Doc wants me under 5.75

An a1c of 5% is an estimated average glucose of 97.5 (5.4). Certainly a reading to make your Dr smile.

What do you mean by proper? Normal is <5%.
