Type 2 Diabetes

I have Type II diabetes, I feel cold just about all the time and sometimes I chill often. Is this a sympton of this disease?

i'm T2 and have been diagnosed for abt 8 yrs. Just in the last month, have started having cold toes up to about the ball of my feet , also stinging in toes mostly, tho sometimes in hands and occasionally lower part of the leg/calf. I do have low thyroid, on meds and am easily on the chilly side but this seems to be different. Will see my Dr tomorrow and ask if this is Diabetes related -- or circulation or Thyroid. When tested for Neuropathy several years ago, tests were negative. I am not on meds for the diabetes but rely on diet and exercise and my numbers are rarely high, usually between 90 and 100, so it would seem that the Diabetes is in control.

You might also want to get your thyroid checked as being cold all the time can be a symptom of hypothyroidism which is very common to people with diabetes.

i have type 2 diabetes.  I tend to get cold easier than others do.  Also, there are times that I'm hotter than my hubby.  I think it drives him crazy.  I don't know if that helps.  I also have had problems with having cold feet too.  I kid you not, it can be 90 degrees out and my feet will be cold.  *smiles*

yes it is... Coldness and chills are because the nureopothy in your body are compromised due to the diabetes.  I have that problem with my feet, they are always cold and I get colder faster than the rest of my family.  Hope this helps.
