I have had extreme fatigue and muscle weakness for years for which no cause has been determined. I often feel dizzy and have trouble concentrating.
I had a test done about two and a half years ago for hemoglobin A1C and it was 5.2 (mean blood glucose 108).
Now, 2+ years later I had a urinalysis done and I got the results and it showed I had glucose in my urine, which my doctor has yet to even mention over 2 weeks later. This got me to looking back at my A1C test, and I realized they had also tested my blood glucose (it was 85) but since it was so long ago I have no idea what time of day it was or how long it had been since I'd eaten. I know for sure they didn't ask, because the doctor doesn't even tell me what tests she's ordering, she just puts in an order and sends me to the lab on a different floor of the building and I get whatever tests she's happened to ordered.
I'm not sure what could be causing glucose in my urine. Any thoughts on this? If anything I've been complaining for years about feeling like I have low blood sugar, but what I mean is that I sometimes feel shaky and dizzy if I don't eat and I'm always tired and my muscles feel weak. If my mean blood glucose was normal at 108 back then it could be different now, but what other symptoms would I have if my blood sugar was getting higher or lower?
Thanks in advance for any help!
