any brand should be ok, however, best you avoid supplements with added sugar.
To gain weight important will be to have normal blood sugar levels, eat adequate protein (about 1 g / kg of bodyweight), and enough calories (best that these come from healthy fats, rather than carbs, which will not be so good for your blood sugars). Carbs can still come in the form of veges - though minimize starchy veges.
